SKILL SHARE - Kevranna Social Club
Come along to our weekly Wednesday Kevranna Social Club at the St John in-the-Fields Hall from 10am to 12.30pm.
A relaxed, welcoming, creative space to share and learn new skills and crafts.
All welcome to just come along for a chat, tea, coffee and some free food to take home or eat there.
Kevranna means 'to share' in Cornish and this group focuses on sharing skills, recycling and re-using materials whenever we can.
DROP IN / ALL WELCOME
Just turn up, see what we’re up to, have a go at whatever we’re doing or just sit down and have a chat and a cuppa tea, it’s very easygoing. Occasionally we have special activities or classes which do require booking but drops ins are still welcome. Follow our facebook page for updates on what’s happening there.
SKILL SHARE
We focus on different arts and crafts each week which varies greatly. Some of the things we do are painting, weaving, making beads, leaf rubbings, card making, lino print stamping. Bring along your projects, hobbies etc, this is a warm space to work on them together with some company. If you have a skill you’d like to share and lead the group for one session, please get in touch.
FREE FOOD & LUNCH
Tea, coffee and biscuits are always available as well as some free food from St Ives Community Foodshare.
Thanks to St Johns church we offer a delicious lunch with soup, bread and cheese to enjoy eating together.

Marie Bark, a local artist who leads most of the sessions says “By being part of helping to run Kevranna club I have been blessed to see Kevranna in action, from both a personal place of growth and with others who joined / crossed our path, hearing such amazing feedback and seeing people flourish is a true gift. Kevranna shares a relaxed, welcoming, creative space with many individuals, and families, each week, providing free food to take home, hot meals, a craft/topic/skill and always a good laugh waiting to be had. Community is at the heart of Kevranna, we talk, we listen, we support and we find out about each other and ourselves by giving – and taking – To share. Sharing time, space, ideas, skills and to feel confident enough to ask for support – Kevranna is what we all put into it… Times are changing, and I believe some true seeds of hope, and connections are what is coming up for communitys – To join together after years of worries and separation – So, to put into words what Kevranna and what it means to me is hard to do – it’s a feeling, it’s an energy, Join and be part of it – Sharing truly is caring!”
