Global Jamming put on a beautiful concert in St Ia church, on Monday 9th December 2024 featuring a new body of work from a group of St.Ives musicians with all proceeds going to Foodshare.Kari Prince (cello), Treve Nicol (flute and percussion) and Gavin Nicol (guitar and flute) played an hour of Gavin’s original instrumental music, all written in and around St.Ives over the past 10 years.They started off with a bit of busking at Co-op to say thank you for their support of Foodshare.Gavin said; “St.Ives Community Foodshare is a fantastic organisation that works throughout the year to reduce food waste and to put food on the table for numerous local people. I’ve been volunteering with them for around four years and love how the group goes beyond our daily collection and distribution activities to host other community initiatives such as the Kevranna social club on Wednesday mornings at St.Johns in the Fields – and the annual Christmas meal at the same venue is a truly wonderful community event.
