Kevranna & St Ives Community Foodshare have set up a new weekly group called Monday Mayhem & Munch that started on 2nd January 2023. It’s held at St John in the Fields every Monday between 1 and 4pm. Volunteers and a dedicated chef cooks up meals that are offered for lunch or just for takeaway. Toys and games are taken out for children and adults have a chance to chat while the children play.
This provides a welcome warm place in these winter months for anyone to go just to hang out and have a bit of company, pick up a meal to take home or eat there. There is also a quiet room for adults to use to chat if they like and there is advice, signposting and other help provided. Please call 07402312500 if you have any questions.
The group has funding to last till spring so we would like to say a huge thank you to The National Grids Electricity – Community Matters Fund for their much needed support, for funding this group, the cooking up of the meals, additional food and also for the masses of warm blankets and warm clothes that we have been able to distribute.
